Welcome to The Virtual CCCHS wiki

Virtual Corpus Christi will enrich partnerships between students and teachers of Nazareth Catholic Primary School and Corpus Christi Catholic High School.  Through the virtual world the school communities will merge creating a natural transition for students between stages 3 and 4.

While engaged in this environment students will develop a sense of community, collaborate with peers and showcase their learning

Staff will collaborate across a variety integrated learning experiences and their assessment, developing a  curriculum map of student learning.

Fertile Questions

  1. Who am I in the Corpus Christi/Nazareth community?
  2. What will the future hold?
  3. Where will my learning take me?

I think that an in depth day on how to work the specifics of the program would be a very valuable learning experience. It could cover things like making buildings, creating your own terrain and setting and by the end of the day we could have built our own mini world, for example our own room or a classroom.

Hi Guys,
We will be meeting again on Wednesday the 10th of June. During this meeting, we intend for you all to showcase some of the things that you have been working on and perhaps run some student lead tutorials on various features.
Some of you have been assigned different school buildings and objects to create. These will become the focus of the Showcase next week. Therefore, we can see the virtual school start to take shape.
Listen to the Learning Circle announcements for times and locations for the meeting

Hope everything works by the time we out it on the server, a problem may be that the different area's might of been made different sizes by the different makers, so that wouldn't turn out too well.

Is the server up yet? So far, we have tried to get in, but we haven't been able to.

Hi Drew
The server is up but you can only access it at school at the moment. As soon as you get active directory (that may have been sorted today) you will be right. Ask Ms Fennell to ask Mr Gregory about it on Monday.
Have a great weekend.

What we need is to know more information about our plans for this year. Me, Anthony and Andrew don't know much, but I've heard from Cameron that more people are joining, but we won't be doing the group days. We are doing this for our SDLP this year, but if we don't have much of an organization between everyone, it may take longer to complete. If we could have a session for everyone to come, in which we work out what we have to do and who does what, It would make it a lot faster. We only get 45 minutes each week, so if we had a certain goal to get towards, we will be able to complete it on time.

Okay, bit of a problem here. The LCP isn't allowing me to log in (doesn't get past logging in... on the loading screen), maybe for everyone, as Andrew and Anthony couldn't yesterday as well, and when I open the portal, it either automatically closes the window or drops the connection.

Hey guys. I was having a look at the possibility of inserting flash games in Second life. I'm not sure whether you have looked at shared Media yet but check this link out and let me know what you think.

more spammers posting links on the site. I don't think they get the point of it being our site, not theirs.
